About The Role

What you'll do.

We're adding a Tour Leader to our Barcelona team. You'll be the face of Hamilton & Chase for travelers visiting Catalonia — greeting them on arrival, orchestrating their days, smoothing over the unexpected, and making sure every detail of their itinerary feels effortless.

Who This Is For

A born host who knows Barcelona like the back of their hand — not just La Rambla and Sagrada Família, but the quiet corners of Poblenou, the best pintxo counter in Gràcia, and which taxi driver will actually get you across town on a Saturday night. You speak the language, you've probably already hosted tours in some capacity, and you love the work.

Day To Day

Responsibilities.

  1. 01

Greet travelers at their hotel and walk them through their private itinerary over a welcome drink

  2. 02

Coordinate with drivers, restaurants, museums and private guides throughout each trip

  3. 03

Handle the unexpected with calm — a flight delay, a closed restaurant, a sudden rain storm

  4. 04

Check in with travelers daily, anticipate needs, and make small surprises happen when they count

  5. 05

Work closely with our Rome and Lisbon leaders to hand off multi-city itineraries seamlessly

  6. 06

Feed back to the trip designers on what's working and which partners are slipping

Must Haves

What we're looking for.

  • Fluent Spanish, Catalan and English — additional languages always welcome

  • 3+ years as a tour leader, concierge or hospitality host at a high-end hotel

  • Deep, current knowledge of Barcelona and the Catalan coast — where to eat, what to skip, who to call

  • Professional appearance, genuinely warm manner, patience under stress

  • Flexible schedule — weekends and evenings are when travelers need you most

Nice To Have

Bonus points for…

  • Background in wine, cuisine, art history or architecture

  • Relationships with local chefs, gallery owners, or private guides

  • Driver's license (not required in city, but useful for day trips to Penedès or Costa Brava)

  • First aid training
