About The Role

What you'll do.

We're hiring a Trip Designer to join the team that builds every Hamilton & Chase itinerary from scratch. You'll take a traveler's brief — dates, budget, interests, who's going — and turn it into a day-by-day journey with the right hotels, experiences, restaurants and pacing. This is the creative core of what we do.

Who This Is For

Someone who's spent years traveling, planning, and obsessing over the details that separate a good trip from an unforgettable one. You know that the difference between two Amalfi hotels isn't just stars — it's the terrace, the walk to dinner, the noise from the road. You plan trips the way a film editor cuts a scene: pacing, contrast, surprise.

Day To Day

Responsibilities.

  1. 01

Design bespoke day-by-day itineraries based on client briefs, working within budget and seasonal constraints

  2. 02

Source and vet hotels, restaurants, private guides and unique experiences across our destination portfolio

  3. 03

Maintain and update our supplier database — notes on quality, pricing, availability and client feedback

  4. 04

Collaborate with sales to refine proposals and answer detailed client questions during the booking process

  5. 05

Review and refresh existing itinerary templates based on traveler feedback and your own research

  6. 06

Travel to key destinations 3–4 times per year to inspect properties and discover new experiences firsthand

Must Haves

What we're looking for.

  • 4+ years in travel planning, tour design or luxury concierge — agency, operator or DMC background preferred

  • Deep first-hand knowledge of at least four of our core destinations (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, Croatia, Japan)

  • Exceptional attention to detail — you notice when a transfer time doesn't add up or a restaurant is closed on Mondays

  • Strong writing skills: you'll draft the itinerary narratives our clients read before and during their trips

  • Comfort with spreadsheets, costing models and supplier negotiation

Nice To Have

Bonus points for…

  • A second or third European language

  • Existing supplier relationships — hoteliers, DMCs, private guides — in our key markets

  • Experience with travel technology platforms (Tourplan, Nezasa, Wetu or similar)

  • Background in hospitality management, food & wine, or cultural tourism
